The Public Service Scholars Program, founded in 1994-95, supports students in writing senior honors theses which integrate research and service. The goal is to use academically-rigorous research methods to address issues of relevance to community organizations or in the public interest, and then to share the research results with appropriate community audiences and/or organizations.
Beginning with the 2003-04 class of Public Service Scholars, we are making available on this site most of these theses. You may want to read through the list of theses titles to see the range of student majors and thesis topics conducted by Stanford students committed to community-based research.
Please note: in some cases, due to issues of confidentiality or sensitivity of materials, the scholar has elected not to be included on this site. To find out more about the results, please e-mail the author directly.
