Coro Kansas City Summer Internship in Public Affairs

Coro is a leadership development program designed to train tomorrow's leaders. Coro currently offers programs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Louis, New York, Pittsburgh and Cleveland, in addition to the Kansas City Summer Internship in Public Affairs. Coro Kansas City's college program is a "mini-version" of the well known Coro Fellows program, which has received national recognition, and is named by the Princeton Review as one of America's top ten internships.

The purpose of the internship is to develop future community leaders through exposure to community issues, leadership development, civic leaders and organizations. This structured internship program is demanding, full time, and requires an interest in public affairs. Each intern is assigned a week-long individual internship in business, government, labor, media, and non-profit organizations. In addition, time is spent immersed in learning about each of the five internship sectors: business, government, non-profit, media, and labor.
