American Red Cross Presidential Intern Program
The American Red Cross offers paid internships during the summer months through the Presidential Internship Program. These positions are open to students currently enrolled in undergraduate and graduate studies or who have recently graduated the spring immediately prior to their appointment.
The purpose of the Presidential Intern Program is to bring a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate college students into the American Red Cross. By providing paid internships in key professional areas, interns can develop lifelong associations with the Red Cross and the organization will increase its overall diversity and inclusiveness.
Throughout the program, information is disseminated to interns about available career opportunities at the American Red Cross. Each intern is assigned a mentor who provides advice on appropriate business practices and career coaching. Significant projects are presented to interns that require students to apply their previous knowledge and skills in an actual work setting. By taking part in this experience, students greatly enhance their chances for securing employment at an organization or corporation after graduation.
