American Indian Science and Engineering Society Internships

The AISES Internship Program is a 10-week summer program that provides qualified AISES students with internship opportunities to explore potential federal service careers with the following agencies: National Science Foundation, Bonneville Power Administration: Environment, Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Department of Commerce, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. State Department, Central Intelligence Agency, NASA Exploration Systems Mission Doctorate, and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Interns are provided a weekly stipend and local transportation allowance. Domestic and overseas placements are available. The internship is a student learning work experience to gain knowledge and understanding of federal agencies and their operations. An internship should not be viewed as summer employment with an expectation of earnings.

Notes: Must be a member of AISES to apply. Deadline varies by internship. An online application directly with the State Department is required, in addition to the AISES application process. The CIA internship is 12 weeks long.
